We now have Dspace content management system running at Bromley College and it seems to be a superb piece of software that will allow us to store search and retrieve learning objects and their assets. The metadata really comes into its own when you consider that images, videos, audio files and Scorm packages have no text for system like SharePoint to drill down into. We are proposing to use it for the media studios collection of video and images. Our senior Librarian Judy was I think pleasently surprised to see an ISBN field in there.

Moodle training for JISC
Ran an Introduction to Moodle course for JISC on Feb 28 for 15 delegates, a good session espite some server blips. Everyone took a 68 page manual away plus a CD. I have one request to service regarding granting access to our own Moodle system for evalution purposes. Looking forward to the West Midlands Moodle user group meeting, where I am intending revealing some of my own trial recommendations as part of my presentation.
